Is it Ok to be selfish of your business knowledge?

It is about getting better...

We have an officer who shares his pressmatt being sent to me to the other party in a business deal.  I told him to be wary of such sharing.  When they learn of the numbers, they would be more prepared for counter attack and/or leave us at the table.

Is all right to keep certain things secret in a nego or give all.  Information knowledge is a resource and it can t just be shared.

A relative was ranting about his former business colleague whose ways changed after he worked in a free port.   It seems that his MO now is to get big people get on a deal, and get his fees up front.  An investment banker, or an influencer who always goes CIA. (Cash in Advance)

He now does not want to deal with the guy.

He is now out of the govt and back as private citizen.  Would you do business with this guy?

Would you do the same and be a traitor to your country

My uncle and I were discussing a citizen who has plenty of money.  He was reported to have sold 3 mountain sites to foreigners, who excavated the soil to be made into artificial islands  near his province.  They were built to be military installations, and firmed their claims on these islands.  

If you had such lands would you do the same?

Would you commit such treachery?  (On the other hand you are very very richhhhh!

It is about getting better...

We probably surprised the caretaker of the families 33 hectares estate:   there were being loaded probably 50 to 100 kaing of mangoes ripe for distribution, to be loaded in 3 jeepneys.   According to my companion, the caretaker has 7 tricycles and other assets.

Probably not being closely supervised.   Or simply we have plenty of people who are not Christians and who are not trustworthy.   Obviously not simply burying the treasures of the master.  But stealing and destroying them. 

While we try to take care of assets so that they will benefit the most.
