Why do executive make stupid choices?

The post tells of the experience of the executive who made wrong choices on his investment.   The author has a coach.  Some executive are blindsinded by their past successes.  Red flag is neede for executives when:

l.  He does not sleep over a decision;

2.  He does not consult his peers or board for  decision;

3.  Dealing with someone you do not know;

4.  It is a once in a lifetime deal; 

5.  It is outside area of expertise;  (say you are in real estate and all of a sudden you will deal with rare earth metals, or gold or precious metals)

6.  Others are doing it so you have to keep with the rest;
