Would invidividuals who got very rich because of their connections with the very rich and or illegal activities

Be better than before, than yesterday...

1.  A realtor/developer who is a protege of a former Country's Chief Officer who suddenly had huge mega projects after her term of office

2.  A whiz kid whose talent is supposed to be monetizing an agri company but turned out to be well connnected to a MM city chief officer involved in his Batangas real property and later in a subway project;

3.  A local exec who would have gathered a large tract of land by backfilling large portions of the Laguna Lake.  The LLDA law says the Lake cant be reclaimed

4.  One of the Philippine wealthiest but who conned stockholder with property valuation, buying land along the path of highways (while others do not know)   and lately being involved in flood control projects

5.  A lady CEO suddenly became a billionaire and was featured at social media.  There are however allegations that she is doing ML for frmr congressman who was seen at Portugal.  (She went to Portugal too)

Must they be respected.  I did so for a while.

So you want to be a billionaire? What is going to be your college preparation? You career experience?

Be better than before, than yesterday.

For someone who wants to be a millionaire billionaire, this was serious question and often answered with legit ones:

     1.  Study business

     2.  Be a businessman/entnrepreneur

     3.  Save,

     4.  Invest

     5.  Work hard

Being an employee:   a programmer, data analyst, accountant does not make you rich    

But now in the Philippines  asking this question, elicits funny answers in light of scandalous flood control projects with the govt:

     1.  Be a contractor

     2.  Be a DP...H contractor

     3.  Be a politician

The recent happening gives a false sense of values to the younger people and does not motivate them probably about the old tenets of working  hard, being disciplined, working for your country, being patriotic,  being frugal and thrifty.

Its time we make the head lead the tail in the right way.  Otherwise, we have to cut the head

Saving a failed bankrupt billionaire

Be better than before, than yesterday...

A bankrupt failed billionaire was about to jump off a bridge amidst bankruptcy and failed businesses.   The only way out was suicide.

So his friend, another billionaire offered help.  He offered a mountain side + $1B to be able to recover.

So he asked, "  How will you turn around and recover?"

The failed billionaire:   " Have a livestock farm"

Assisting billionaire:   "  Not even $2 billion rescue fund will be enough"

Here is my idea:

1.  Build a temple at the mountain top, build roads and infrastructure

2.  Invite scholars to go to the temple and conduct a contest and offer huge prizes so that the soc media will take note

3.  Collect $100 as entrance fee

4.  If there a 100,000 visitors, you will generate $10,000,000

5.  Better still, partner with a transportation company to transport visitors from further down the mountain for a partnership:  50 - 50 or 60 - 40

LESSONS:

1. Suicide running away from a problem is not a solution

2.  Be different in approaching problems or starting a busness enterprise

3.  Be audacious and restart with energy
