What apps are more important than a University Degree

What are  the more important than a University Degree?

Many look at University Degree as God.  But you need a University Degree to get a diploma or certificate.  A University does not give  you what is more important in life or work:   information.  For some profession, University Degree is important to some professions like Medicine or Law.



But you can get information at the apps, and without cost:

      1.  Google
      2.  You Tube
      3.  Podcast

I stopped buying books 5 years ago (so with millions of others who no longer buy books.  That is why Barnes and Nobles went bust in NY.    National "Book"Store has reformatted its stores and selling very little books now.  It has become an office supplies store. (Maybe very few buy books now. Many prefer to read on line)

Time to UNPLUG your phone!

We spend large amount of time on our phones.  I find it discourteous, that you drag yourself several hundred km to an appointment talking texting on their smarthpone while you are having a meeting.  It is rather unsocial and unnatural. We were not born with smarth phone.  And even in class.

I had a house rule that if your phone rings in the class, you will treat the entire class.
