What you learn is what you teach yourself.   Sometimes the mentor have to take steps so that you will remember:

       1.  Giving you incomplete information so that you search for the missing pieces

       2.  Difficulties and challenges so that you are physically and  mentally challenged rather than

            being complacent

      3.  Charging you high mentoring teaching fees so that you pay attention and have a sense

           of engagement

Yesterday, this post went to SBU in the north.   The person manning the unit was particularly challenging because:   1.  she keeps on repeating the same mistakes,  2.  does not communicate through the well known channels;   DM,, Whats App, Gmail.   But she was a college graduate. A difficult nut to crack.  

We had a general staff meeting at about 10 am, after a 6 hour trip, leaving at 4:00 am, a 200 km trip.  

One of the staff was absent, it being she had a MD appointment.  This post also cancelled his meeting at 4 pm today.  As if only this post can deny himself, and cancel his appointment  Presumably, it was sabotage and insubordination but this post had no such solid evidence  

The post promised to stay for a month at the sbu to correct the situation and has not given up until changes occur.  Otherwise the sbu would fall apart.  THIS POST EMPHASIZED:

      1.  2:00 o clock waking up to make the

      2.  4 am trip

      3.   to be at the sbu at 10 am

Also mentioned, that fellow professor are paid $1,000 a day (about P58,000) a day to mentor business person on business operation.  They pay nothing, and no one experiences or learn the kind of learning being disseminatted today

The post was happy that the aura of the one in charge was better and had better response on the teaching of the marketing plan.  I promised to help her and secure the help of third party prepare the marketing plan.  

Today she was improving and teaching herself.   to learn.           

Multiplying yourself; how to scale up

Be better than before, than yesterday...

"Go forth and multiply"

If you are a businessman, (ie earning for yourself, not employed) you cant scale up.  You must scale up, and neither can you scale up yourself and/your time because they are finite.  The only way is to multiply yourself via other people (OPL other peoples labor)

Always the key to mastery of business is mastery of self, ie, self improvement

Once a businessman rode a taxi from airport to his hotel.  And asked him how much he makes in an ordinary day.  The later answered about $800.00.

"What routes would be most profitable and why?"

Ans:   " Trips like this to the airport which takes in about $1,000.00. "

Why dont you take in more airport passengers to and from the hotel.   

Ans;   " I dont know how"

Businessman:   "This is what you can do.   Talk to hotel or airport staff and give your phone number.  Say that for every referral to you airport to hotel and vice versa passenger, you give him/her 5% commission.  Within the day."

"That is great But what if there are all ready other engagements and conflicts."

Ans:   "  Build a network of other taxi drivers.   You can split revenues say 70 -30 with them.   After the 5% to the referror, you still gain 25%.  For 10 pax, you still get $2,500 which can net you, on top of your $800.00 per day. say  26 days in a month,   $65,000 a month or  $780,000 and you can be a millionaire in 2 years.

Brilliant eh.

1.  Great ideas abound, you only have to think and be creative

2.   Dont be afraid to be mentored or ask those who are more experienced;

3.   Creative and smart thinking beat hard work.

4.  Others stay poor because they are stuck to routine, and or fail to think
