He observes, as an outsider that S & W is too slow in adjusting to market changes. S & W has been known for steel guns like those used in Dirty Harry and has been slow to keep with guns like Glock which are light and smaller. The trend is towards smaller and lighter guns that can be kept in small purses of ladies.
In the light of poor economy, there will be more protection requiring more guns and which will drive up sales
