Exercise on Criminal Activities

One the creative activities required in the group work in Entrep is the presentation of illegal activities.  The illegal activities are required to be unique and not done before.  For some classes I found them to be more creative and highly enthusiastic when doing something that is naughty or bad.

Some though questions my brains for allowing or requiring  this in my class in a Catholic university, in AGSB.  And I say, it is better to do and reflect on this  in the classroom, rather than spill our guts out there when we graduate, as some alumni of the school have done recently.

The companion of this activity is the book by Daniel Yonklovich, "Profit with Honor"  (Yes there is such a a book)

Some important points:

l.  A law or even implementing  rules or regulation or internal memo of the city hall or a bureacracy, or a court order declares what is legal or not, what is criminal or not;

2.  You can not fight city hall or govt office .  You have to find ways to comply. Rather than spend time finding how you can not comply, study what you must do to comply

3.  Because of #l what is legal is not necessarily right and vice versa.

4.  The object of both legal and illegal activity may be the same:  to earn material rewards, but the methodology differ:  one is legal the other is illegal.

5.  Sometimes the process of  attaining the object are the same.

6.  Some executives may not not know that they have crossed the borderline, or that they are in the twilight zone of the right and wrong.
